Keelung Port, Taiwan. Cruise ships dock in centre of Keelung. The train station is about 10 mins walking distance away from the pier, heading to Taipei city in 24km. As, Taiwan’s 2nd largest seaport after Kaohsiung, Keelung also named as Rainy Port as it is frequently rain here.
Miaokou food market is famous for local snacks for day time and night too. It is easy access from the pier. After food, you would also visit to one of the fort ~ Ershawan Fort which has 5 cannons for your photo shooting. Taking the pubic bus from the train station, you may visit the Jungjeng Park, which allows you to overlook the city and labour.
Taking the train and explore Taipei city will be another good choice. Visiting National Palace Museum, Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, Confucius Temple, Lungshan Temple, etc and of course get the chance to taste many of the local cuisine here.
